Stretch, Don’t Struggle.

If you’re reading this, thanks already.

GOALS SHOULD REQUIRE YOU TO STRETCH (NOT STRUGGLE)….⁣

Here we are, at the end of January and I’ve gotta ask: Are you “crushing” the list of New Years Resolutions you visualized 4 weeks ago? ⁣🧐⁣
⁣⁣
If you’re not, that’s cool. Regroup, DON’T fold. DO NOT GIVE UP. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The thing with goal setting, is it’s MEANT to stretch you, to PULL you, to cause some slight discomfort- to take you right outside the ordinary and just beyond where it feels “right”- both in your spirit & body. That little TUG, it’s a good thing. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And, just like any stretch, a stretch in your CHARACTER, a stretch outside of your own limiting beliefs, will also require hitting and surpassing your edge to an unfamiliar place. Stretching your character is hard damn work, but it shouldn’t hurt. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You see, what you DON’T want to do, is OVER-stretch yourself to the point where you’re STRUGGLING- you know, pushing to that point where your breathing is laboured, you’re gasping for air, it’s starting to hurt and you know damn well your form is shit. Don’t stay there. A good stretch (of any kind) should not be done in distress. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
What I’m trying to say, is if its 4 weeks into the year & you’re frustrated, defeated, and struggling to live up to the standards you set for yourself just one month ago- I suggest you SLOW YOUR ROLL sister. Re-set & Re-group. Break down those Jan 1st manifestations into bite size pieces that will stretch you WITHOUT the struggle. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Remember, the body (& the mind) need to be morphed and moulded and pulled out of their comfort zones, but not to the point of defeat or disappointment. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It’s OK to loosen up the grip (and the standards) you set for yourself in order to truly tackle your goals effectively this week. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Just BREATHE, then go get what you deserve. Happy Monday, Friends!
